Tesco are excited to announce that they are creating a gym at their site in Wisbech if they get the green light from planning.  They have submitted their planning to Fenland District council to have part of its store as a gym which would be open to the public 24 hours a day.
It is planned that the gym will hold more than 40 weekly classes along with personal training and a gym. The reason behind this idea that on doing their research it was apparently that the town of Wisbech lacks any health and fitness centres.

Having a fitness centre as part of a supermarket is an excellent idea location wise and also encourages the community to partake in a fitness regime and to become more active and healthy in their lives. It would help to tackle the growing problem of obesity and hopefully encourage more people to take some exercise each week.

The other boost for the training centre and gym is that it is going to create 20 full time roles and 20 part time roles which is an excellent boost for the area and local residents seeking new employment.

The gym will be looking at providing facilities and programmes for people to do work outs and exercise classes including, AB Blaster, Body Combat, Body Pump, Circuits, Kick boxing, Legs, Bums and Tums, Pilates, Rid, Spinning, Step and Tone, Yoga and Zumba. A wide variety of activities to suit everyone if they are willing to get healthy and give it a go.

Within the gym there would also be personal trainers available for one to one sessions and advice in creating the best fitness programme for customers to do what they want out of their sessions.

Its an interesting concept which is looking to the future and matching exercise with healthy options from the next door supermarket, a good combination.
