Christmas is a busy time for retailers across the nation.  It has been reported that over 70,000 temporary jobs will be created over this season from leading retailers who are anxious to keep up with the demands of their customers.

Food retailer Tesco is no exception to this rule.  Although reported to have a bad Christmas last year in 2011, thanks to the Olympics this year, projections look good for the company.  As a result of this, they have announced that they will be expecting to take on 12,000 people this Christmas.  Good news for many who are unemployed.

Application Process

Application forms can be requested in person from the store, or applicants can drop their CV off in store as well.  Customer assistant positions do not tend to be advertised online, but a store locator is available on the Tesco site itself.  All prospective employees can find out which store is closest to them and pop in to speak to somebody about any available posts.
