Tesco is delighted to announce that they are launching the new cafe style restaurant with the Giraffe chain in 6 of its own stores.

The stores concerned will be in Cheam, Cirencester, Newcastle upon Tyne, Poole, West Durrington and Glasgow to begin with and they will open this summer.  These stores in particular have been chosen due to the fact that they have a large number of day time customers and feel that the Giraffe restaurant chain will be used more in these areas at this
    time.

The Co-founder of the Giraffe restaurant chain, Russel Joffe said that they have worked together with their customers and created a shorter version of their menu with some of the more popular dishes and will be doing breakfast deals all day long. This should be very appealing to our customers coming into Tesco to do their shopping.

This change should create around 200 new jobs which will benefit the local communities. The roles will be a mixture of staff to work in the cafe style restaurants, general skills and some management positions.

The idea behind this more casual style dining by a restaurant chain the general public are familiar with is to re invent their stores and make them different to normal attracting a new range of people who will hopefully come to both eat at the Giraffe restaurant and also do their shopping in Tesco at the same time.

Recently Tesco have also been seen to be partnering with fitness centres in an aim to reinvent itself and make the Tesco stores a bit different and offering their customers something else.  Tesco are looking to the future of convenience by offering these extras on the doorstep of where their customers are doing their shopping as people with busy lives know all too well that convenience wins every time.
