Liverpool will receive a double jobs boost with an expected 80 new jobs will be created with the opening of two new hotels in the city centre next month.

Two budget hotels chains – Premier Inn and Travelodge – are recruiting 56 and 23 staff correspondingly for their new developments. The jobs include housekeepers, receptionists, waiting and bar staff, kitchen staff and managers.

The Premier Inn will open in early December, in Hanover Street, while Travelodge opens its latest city centre site at around the same time.

Following double digit growth in 2011 and continued strong trading, Travelodge is investing £246 million in 2012 by opening 41 hotels and creating 1,000 jobs this year. These new openings will boost the company’s estate to 537 hotels and over 39,000 rooms, putting the company well on target to reach 1,000 hotels by 2020.

Travelodge’s 125-room Liverpool Central Exchange Street hotel is situated on the corner of Exchange Street East and Tithebarn Street. The company offers a comprehensive training and development programme so that our people can build a successful career.

Premier Inn’s expansion in Liverpool is part of a strategy to grow to 55,000 rooms in the UK within four years, targeting cities where Premier Inn can achieve great locations and offer a great choice to the customer.
