If you are going to have Waitrose Group Interview for your job application then don’t forget to bring the documents that the company wants.

    • National Insurance
    • Passport & birth certificate
    • Proof of entitlement to work (this can be your passport)

First of all they will get you to play a game of bingo or something to break the ice, and so you get to know some of the people in your group.

You may also be asked to sell something (in mine it was a natural air freshener) not as hard as it sounds, you just need to think creatively and clever about it, its actually a fun task.

You may also be asked to sort out main qualities you think are important for a role in waitrose (whichever you applied for) and basically what you choose is upto you, you may also work as a group but there are no wrong answers.

Just stay confident throughout the interview, don’t be a complete wallflower but don’t be too cocky either.

    • I belonged to a group of 12 people and first of all we all went into a room, and they gave us a small ice breaker activity. This consisted of the group splitting into 2 groups and trying to make words out of letters. Quite strange I know, but it helps you start talking. It’s like countdown!
    • After that we had to introduce ourselves to the group and say what we liked doing, greatest achievments, etc..
    • We then had a small presentation about the company to see what they expect from us and what we expect from them. And then those little questions came up saying, “Why do you want to work here?” They will pick on you!
    • We then split into 2 groups again and had to try and sell a waitrose produce to the other team.
    • After the last exercise you have to complete a medical form and give sizes you require for uniforms.

If successful they said they will ring you back to complete another interview, but this time one to one..
    Good luck!
