A new format of Waitrose stores are due to be trialled later this month. Small Waitrose convenience stores will be opened in conjunction with Shell on Shell Petrol forecourts under the name Little Waitrose.
The first two Little Waitrose stores are 1,600 square foot offering 2500 most common convenience items from the Waitrose range, including freshly baked made-in-branch baguettes in Shell Sceptre in Watford and Shell Bayswater in London during Autumn 2011, and are expected to employ 15 staff each.
