Waitrose announced in July 2011 that the growth of Little Waitrose convenience stores is set to create 1,000 new jobs within the M25 within the next year.
Following the successful trial of the Old Brompton Road store in South Kensington in January 2011, the supermarket chain proposes to open a record number of 20 new Little Waitrose branches in and around London.
Waitrose convenience stores are specifically designed to offer all the products customers may need in the next 24 to 48 hours, focusing on fresh food when you want it.
In line with all Waitrose staff, Little Waitrose employees will become Partners in the John Lewis Partnership entitling them to the unique benefits of employee ownership allowing them to have a say in how the business is run, receiving an annual bonus based on company profits and receiving impressive discounts on shopping and leisure.
