    There are no set entry requirements to become a yoga teacher however it helps if you have some experience practising yoga for at least 2 years.

    Yoga Teacher Skills for your CV

    • the ability to motivate individuals and groups
    • good speaking and listening skills
    • personal fitness, strength and flexibility
    • commercial skills, if running your own business

    How much can I earn as a Yoga Teacher?

    You could charge an hourly or session rate of around £5 to £15 per person for group sessions. For private sessions you could charge from £35 to £60.
    Career progress

    With experience you could run your own yoga workshops, yoga retreats, or holidays.

    You may be able to train as a yoga therapist or take further qualifications to train yoga teachers.
