Your cover letter is very good. You should check the grammar though as there are certainly several mistakes in every paragraph eg. Para. 1 – ’employer to’ should be ’employee for’; Para. 2 – ‘with high dedication’ should be ‘highly dedicated’.

It may also be worth considering cutting down some of the length by amalgamating the second and third paragraphs.

The final decision is entirely down to you.  If you enjoy working in finance then personally I would stick with what you know, particularly as you’ve been out of the job market for a couple of years, and try to work in the financial sector whilst training for your financial exams.
With regard to the employment opportunities, it varies considerably from area to area.  You will need to investigate into the location once you husband has received information.  The government keeps telling us that UK economy is improving, and our prediction would be more people will be looking for mortgages more and more in the future.

If my application has been unsuccessful, when can I re-apply?

You may re-apply after 6-months from the time you were notified of the outcome of your application.  However, you should consider the reason for rejection to ensure a further application will not be rejected on the same grounds.
