    Dear Employer,
I think that I am suitable for a job vacancy available at WHSmith. The WHSmith store in my local area is Charlton which is not far from where I am living. Although, I have not had proper experience of working for a fully established company such as WHSmith, the work experience I did have at Llioyds TSB for two weeks still taught me the basics into handling customers and dealing with customer problems. I generally get along with people as I am very social and I calm when problematic situations arise as I collect myself and think of the best solution. Getting this job would allow me to gain full experience of the working world as I will gain new skills and become much more confident. Please do not let ny lack of experience underestimate your decision to hire me as I am a fast learner and always up for a challenge. I hope that you consider me for this work placement and I look forward to hearing from you.

thats really pain in the *** isn’t it? especially if your work history is long as mine! even a little shop asking your work history with the exact dates when you applying for a job.

i understand the airports for security reasons but why even little shops asking the hour of your leaving…

don’t always look at things from negative sides. being self employed probably gave you a lot than what you think.

self confidence!, self motivation = self employment as far as i know…

approach to this matter as an advantage rather than a down side pls.

Most workers in the UK over compulsory school leaving age are legally entitled to be paid at least the NMW and all employers have to pay it to you if you are entitled to it. It makes no difference:

        * if you are paid weekly or monthly, by cheque, in cash or in another way
        * if you work full time, part time or any other working pattern
        * if you work at your employer’s own premises or elsewhere
        * what size your employer is
        * where you work in the UK

The deal, which will see Sunderland’s factory suppling cars to the whole of the Continent – will also secure 4,500 jobs and those of up to 20,000 suppliers.
