I was attracted to the position because of the wide variety of responsibilities and opportunities described. I have five years of experience in administrative and office procedures and systems, from reception to taking Board minutes. In addition, I hold an NVQ qualification in Administration and am fully trained in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

Over the years, I have developed a wide range of transferable skills, including time management, organisational skills, excellent communications skills, prioritising tasks and team working. I have worked with managers to help format tenders for large projects, which has helped me to develop research and graphics skills and apply them within the specified deadline.

    Nice example – although not sure about the bit about "I will contact you to informally discuss the position" – seems a bit forward to me.  Maybe that is the way it is done these days?
