Quantity surveyor, Building Dreams, London
Working in this busy building company it was my duty to estimate the costs and timescales involved in making new buildings. I would have to meet with clients to discuss what they wanted to build, and give them a full risk management and value management consultation, to help them understand if the project was feasible or not.

January 2008- January 2010
Quantity surveyor, Happy Homes, London.
As a Quantity surveyor in this large homebuilding firm it was my duty to assess which proposed developments would be the best to proceed with based on what they would cost to complete, how long they would take and what profit margins would be gained from them. If builds went ahead I would be responsible for allocating subcontractors to the various tasks, dependent on which were the best value for money.

January 2007 – January 2008
Quantity surveyor, Office Empires, London
Working for this large office refurbishment company it was my duty to inspect completed office refurbishments and give each a value for rental or resale, and draw up contracts for the sale or rental of the unit accordingly. I would be responsible for authorising any further amendments that the units required, and finding appropriate contractors to carry those works out. Whether a unit was sold or rented depended on what would provide the best return.
