Work History

January 2010 – Present

Manager, Oliver Jamie’s, London

Working for this large celebrity restaurant as a manager was a very challenging but exciting and rewarding role. I was responsible for the whole of the restaurant. I had to ensure that staff were happy and carrying out their roles correctly, as well as ensuring that the diners were happy. I would oversee the chef’s menu choices and ensure that things were financially worthwhile.

January 2008- January 2010

Restaurant Manager, NHS hospitals, London.

I worked for this NHS hospital managing the main canteen and restaurant, for both staff and visitor use. WE only dealt with this side, we did not create patient meals, and therefore I had to ensure that all menu choices were cost effective and enjoyable, whilst bearing in mind that the funding was from the NHS. I had to ensure complaints were dealt with in the correct manner and that the restaurant was run smoothly.

January 2007 – January 2008

Trainee Manager, McFarlane’s, London

Working for a large fast food outlet gave me a great experience of restaurant management, as I had been working as a cook. I was educated in conflict management so that I could deal with complaints, as well as dealing with staff and suppliers. I earned my BTEC in Hospitality Management by progressing through the ranks.

Education
