Sports Science Personal Statement Example

By Guest Author

If you have qualified in Sports Science at degree level then you will be keen to be a sports coach or be involved in sports development or even sports physiotherapy. You will need to have a keen interest in Sports and the science behind sports understanding and optimising sports performance at all levels.

You will no doubt have a keen interest in Sports yourself and may take part in a few sports and be physically fit. To teach sports science or show people the benefits of sports you will need to be able to explain what they have to do and be involved in to have the benefits themselves.

An employer will be looking to see how well you can communicate with other people as this will be an important part of your role and how you can relate to different people from adults to children.

If you have found a role in which you want to apply for, please see the below personal statement which will be able to help you in your applications and CV’s.

Sports science personal statement example

I am a keen sports person who decided to learn about what I am passionate about and put my learning to good use. I qualified in Sports Science from (What university, when and what grade) and I am very keen to pass on the knowledge that I have learnt and teach people how to optimise sports at any level.

I am very passionate about sports and staying and being healthy and it helps that I understand the science behind sports and I can explain this carefully to people. I am an excellent communicator and feel that I am able to explain the theory of sports science carefully to people with no previous understanding.

As well as being physically fit and liking to stay fit, I am enthusiastic, self motivated, feel able to motivate others and discuss any issues that they may have towards learning new sports.

Good luck.
