Work History

January 2010 – Present

English Teacher, Big town Comprehensive, London

I loved working for this inner city comprehensive School teaching 11-18 year olds English. I had my own form for registration that I was responsible for the overall development and wellbeing of, but also the usual rota of English lessons for various year groups throughout the day, as well as providing cover for the drama department where required.

January 2008- January 2010

Drama Teacher, Small village Secondary School, London.

Working in a relatively small secondary school in a little village of London saw me teaching drama (mostly Shakespearian) to the sixth form pupils that had taken drama as an option. I would also run after school drama workshops for the younger pupils, as well as putting on displays and performances for the parents of pupils.

January 2007 – January 2008

Teacher Cover, Agency, London.

As a an agency Cover Teacher I would find myself covering a variety of lessons and subjects at different schools on a regular basis, if the regular teacher was unwell. This would mainly entail following a set lesson plan left by the head or the absent teacher. Usually pupils would try to be disruptive as is the norm in these situations but I always managed to calm them and have them under control quickly.

Education

Londonberry Comprehensive School
