Tesco Store Jobs

By Learnist.org

You know that Tesco jobs are a great chance to have fun at work and are reliable and once you have a job there, unlike many career opportunities these days, you can consider your Tesco job a job for life!

If you’re interested in a store role in Tesco, you will be the face of the company. It is you that will be able to make the difference to the customers shopping experience on a day-to-day basis. Tesco has a number of different types of stores in addition to the large supermarkets that they’re widely known for including Express, Metro, Extra and Home-Plus stores. You will probably be a Customer Assistant, stocking the shelves, working on the tills, perhaps working in the bakery or behind the deli or on one of the counters.

You’ll be delighted to learn that in addition to the great chance of working in a fun and forward thinking company, you’ll also have a great chance of working flexible hours or seasonal contracts with the hours to suit your circumstances and you’ll get a chance to get shares in the Tesco business, join company savings schemes, staff privilegecard giving you discounts on all Tesco products, and a pension scheme, and the chance to get discounts on health products and and lifestyles.

Applying for Tesco Store jobs

If you’ve decided that a new career as a Store Assistant then Tesco encourage that you visit the store or distribution centre to talk to actual employees and see how they find the job, and what skills will be required from you.

Once you’ve established whether there are any appropriate vacancies, and if you want to proceed with an application, you need to collect an application form from the store. You should return your completed application form to the store, and don’t forget to include a covering letter to highlight to the HR department the skills that you have already mastered in your previous job roles.

If your application is successful, you’ll be contacted by the HR department to arrange an interview at an appropriate time.
