In the world of Media you need to be able to keep up to date with the ever changing times especially if your role crosses over into social media. You will normally come from a marketing or journalism background and be educated to degree level with some work experience whilst studying and training. You will need to be able to work hard and prove your skills and desire to succeed in this ever changing world.

#1 Media Lawyer

As a Media Lawyer you will be involved in ensuring that the legalities of a Media Company are correct at all times. There are special laws concerning what can be broadcast or publicised and how it can be aired and what privacy laws there are.
You will agree contracts and ensure that that contracts include certain clauses and that the media company is covered for any eventuality.

Typically as a trained and qualified media lawyer salaries start at £50,000 per annum upwards depending on experience, qualifications and type of company and location.

#2 Media Coordinator

As a Media Coordinator you will be involved in organising what articles or broadcasts are aired or posted and dealing with audience and analysing who is reading or listening and how best to target the right audience and always increase the audience figures.

You will need to have a good background in Media and be interested in all areas of media.

Typically depending on experience, salaries start at £20,000 per annum +.

#3 Account Manager

As an Account Manager it will be your responsibility to ensure that you keep your accounts happy and keep on developing your new accounts following up leads and dealing with new contacts etc.

You will need to have good customer service skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with a number of customers keeping them happy and increasing their business potential at all times through advertising either in papers or magazines or broadcasting adverts on the TV or radio.

Typically salaries start at £20,000 per annum depending on skills and experience but can also have a commission or bonus structure attached to your salary through development and increasing the number of accounts you hold and run.

#4 Brand marketing Manager

As a Brand Marketing Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that the marketing for the brand that you are responsible for is solid and is aimed at the right target audience. You will come from an extensive Marketing background to do this role and be used to working with brands and know how to develop these. You will also need good management skills as you will be dealing with a team of staff under you who will be looking for guidance.

Typically salaries will start at £30,000 per annum depending on location, company and experience.

#5 Director of Marketing and Communications

As a Director of Marketing and Communications you will be experienced in marketing and communications and for many years and be able to lead a team and department in moving the marketing initiatives forward for a media business and keep the impact high at all times. You will be constantly striving to be the best in the media world keeping ahead of the changes and times constantly keeping your company in the media presence and targeting the right audience at all times. You will be responsible for showing when figures increase and why and to keep numbers high at all times.
Typically with experience and qualifications, salaries start at £45,000 per annum upwards.
