Assistant Restaurant Manager Cover Letter Example

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I was interested to read of your advertised role as an assistant restaurant manager, and would like to be considered for this position.

I have worked for restaurants in different capacities since the beginning of my career. In my last position I was assistant manager, and from this role I gained excellent leadership and managerial skills to make a restaurant run efficiently and smoothly. I am extremely organised and a good communicator, and have excellent vision of what it takes to make a restaurant run well to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and efficiency.

I am able to deal with a wide range of managerial issues too in order to assist the restaurant manager as soon as possible. I have past experience in managing staff, and undertaking Human Resources issues. I have also taken supervisory roles too in order to ensure smooth running.

I have excellent culinary skills and have the ability to make sure the standard of dishes that are made are always of extremely high standard.

I believe that I will make an excellent fit for this role as I will take the pressures of the restaurant manager as a result of my wide capabilities. The restaurant manager would then be able to focus on management.

I attach my CV, and look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely

Assistant Restaurant Manager Cover Letter

Dear Mr Jones,

I am writing this letter in reply to the Assistant Restaurant Manager position that was recently advertised on your website. I believe that my previous management skills would be an asset to your restaurant.

I have good interpersonal skills both with customers and other members of staff and pay great attention to detail in areas such as training and keeping staff up to date with changes to the menu. I have five years experience in the trade, working my way up from waitress to shift leader with my current employer. I have had Barista training and hold a current Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.

From working in every aspect of the restaurant business, I can successfully handle any task that needs doing from serving food and drinks, cash handling and stock-taking through to cleaning working areas.

I have a strong work ethic and work well on my own initiative. I am also helpful in a team setting, the combination of which is what a successful restaurant requires.

I would welcome the opportunity of an interview to discuss further the training and experience I have in this role and look forward to a reply at your earliest convenience.

Yours sincerely,

  1. Be careful when using templates from the internet for your cover letter.

If many other people are also taking templates and using them, your cover letter could end up sounding very much like the cover letters of another 20 people.

If you do decide to take a template, make sure you change everything. Don’t simply change the address and names and one or two sentences. Make it personal. Make it your own.
