Work History

January 2010 – Present

Catering Assistant, Big College, London

Working for this large inner city school as a catering assistant offered me a very varied and interesting role in a very busy kitchen. My main duties involved serving up of meals to students, advising on menu choices and nutritional content, and taking payment for meals.

January 2008- January 2010

Catering Assistant, PC Planet, London.

I worked for this large PC retailer in the canteen. It was my duty to serve colleagues their lunches and teas, and keep their beverage service running through the day. I gained valuable experience with using the smart card payment system during my time here, and developed my customer service skills. I would have to clean all the surfaces and utensils at the end of the shift.

January 2007 – January 2008

Catering Assistant, Star Eats, London

Working for this large TV, Film and events company as a catering assistant saw me travel to various differing locations and assist in ensuring everyone got a good meal. It involved ensuring that the kitchen had all the ingredients they required, and then assisting in the serving of meals to people. I would have to ensure that I was serving to people who I should be as often we were in public areas and nothing was paid for by the individual, so intuition was a must. I would also help to keep the vans tidy.
