Driving Instructor Cover Letter Example

If you are interested in becoming a Driving Instructor, it is important to remember that you will have to train as an Approved Driving Instructor and register with the Driving Standards Agency. Without doing this you will be unable to teach people to drive.

A driving instructor must be a calm and patient person who can communicate effectively with a variety of people and get the best out of them when they are feeling unsure.

A driving instructor must be a good driver and be confident of being able to teach other people how to drive safely and correctly on the busy roads today.

If this is still something you are interested in, please see the below covering letter example which may help you when applying for new roles.

Cover Letter: Driving Instructor

Dear Sir/Madam,

Application for a Driving Instructor

I have recently seen that you are advertising for a Driving Instructor and I would like to apply for this role.

I am already registered with the Driving Standards Agency and have been teaching pupils on a private basis to learn to drive but I now feel that I want to work as part of a wider team and company such as yourselves.

I have taken my advanced driving test (if true or mention the highest driving qualification you have) and have been a careful driver since the age of or for how many years.

I get a real satisfaction from ensuring that I teach people to drive safely on the busy roads today and enjoy the challenges that this teaching sometimes brings.

I am a very patient person with a good sense of humour and I like to make my pupils feel confident when they are learning to drive and always ensure that I take them at their own pace.

I am always keen to keep up to date on my knowledge and skills of driving and regularly test myself on different areas and learn road names etc. I regularly attend courses and briefings relevant to driving and pride myself on keeping my knowledge as up to date as possible ensuring I pass the best of this onto my pupils.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely
