Find your Next Job with Mobile Job Search Apps

Last updated : 14 September 2018

We used to access our internet connected up to desktop computers with wires. Then laptops arrived and we had the opportunity to search the web in more locations, but it still wasn’t always convenient. Now we can take the internet every where we go on our smart phones, with now excellent functions and appearance and unbelievable usage by millions. Organisations have to provide their websites in a particular format so that users can get the best functionality from smartphones, so job sites, as well as other internet companies, have had to produce Apps for their users.

Job sites that can’t keep up with the latest technologies will of course be left behind, even if they are the most successful in other formats on the web, if they don’t have smartphone Apps they are losing a significant proportion of potential users.

Just having an app is not enough to expect jobseekers to automatically use your Job Search Site over the competitors, and even a big brand name won’t always be a factor for them to use your app instead of another Job Search Site.

Your job search app should be:

– Easy to use

An app that works perfectly, running smoothly, no freezing, no annoying ads, nothing to frustrate the job seeker and stop them focusing on their new job. It must be easy to navigate through and use efficiently.

– Accurate

When they search for IT jobs, they shouldn’t see list of catering vacancies! Make sure it works before you release it to the public.

– Constantly updated

All the vacancies should be constantly updated. Candidates shouldn’t apply for the jobs that are already taken as this would waste the time and effort of the job seeker, and be frustrating for the employer as they receive unnecessary applications. This will cause time wasting and disappointment on the job seeker.

– 1 click application feature is on for the registered users

When they find a job they should be able to apply for it via a single click rather than filling long application forms each time. They are providing most of their information when they registering with the job board anyway. A quick covering letter, with an option to amend details on their standard information, should be sufficient to complete the application.

Here are the Online Job Sites which already have a Job Search App:
