Further to your advertisement in the Manchester Evening News I would like to apply for the front of house position in your restaurant. I have some experience in this role having worked at a wine bar in Cheshire. Although the duties weren’t as extensive as those mentioned in the advertisement I do feel that with a little training I would be able to complete those tasks in a competent manner.
I have carried out the banking on a regular basis, and made the rotas for waitresses and cleaning staff. I have taken telephone bookings and have deputised for the manager when she was on leave. I enjoy speaking with customers and ensuring that they receive the best possible service at all times.
I am moving closer to Manchester and have heard that your restaurant has an extremely good reputation. I would love to work for your organisation, and enclose my CV which includes brief details of my qualifications and part-time college course.
