Does anyone have any tips they could share regarding the Asda online application form? Is there an aptitude test you have to complete before having chance of a face to face interview?

Asda is one of largest chain of supermarkets across the UK, selling groceries, clothes, general merchandise, toys, finance and they have their own mobile phone brand (via Vodafone). Would you like a job which is secure? Can offer a fantastic career? Why not apply to work at Asda today?

    Asda magic have a go!

You have two options when applying to work as Asda, either online via their website where you can search all their vacancies for one that is suitable for you. Alternatively you can pick up an application form from a store near you. The application form shouldn’t take too long to fill out, your also more than welcome to attach a copy of your CV and a covering letter with your application form to add that “something extra” for them to remember you by.

The interview is split into two separate stages, first is a group interview. You will be called into your local store with a group of other candidates, first you will all be asked to introduce yourselves and tell everyone a little bit about yourself. You will then take part in a group activity, you will split into a group of 4-5 people and be given a task, one of the most popular ones is to be given a stack of playing cards, and you will have 30 minutes to make these playing cards become a home. You will then have to sell your home to the rest of the group. If you pass this stage, you will be called back for a 1:1 interview with the store manager. You will be asked general retail questions, about your experience and about the job role itself.

As an employee at Asda, you will be given a discount card for 30% off all Asda products.

The salary at Asda for a general sales assistant started at national minimum wage, for supervisors and managers, your salary is negotiable.

The only tips i would advise, are to read the questions before filling in your answers, this really should be the first thing you do, but surprisingly many people dont read the question properly

If you would like to work at Asda, then go along to your local store and ask if there are any vacancies. Requesting for application forms on forums that are not associated with Asda, will not get you anywhere I am afraid  😉
