I am resigning from my job due to relocation and I would like to ask if I can claim job seeker allowance after resigning from my work?

    Thanks

It can depend on why you have resigned but generally you cannot claim job seekers allowance or up to 26 weeks if you have resigned for no good reason. However, if you are claiming constructive dismissal and feel that you were forced to resign then things could be different, but it will depend on the individual circumstances. It may still be possible to claim a hardship allowance if you cannot get jobseekers allowance, but this is not such a large amount of money.
