Primark has announced that they will be opening their new store on Stall Street in Bath on Friday 18th July at 9am and the new opening will create 320 new jobs for the store.

The discount clothing brand, Primark has been the talk of the town from fashion lovers and keen shoppers to the Bath area and has sent a clear message to people interested in having a store in the town that this is a busy City and a good move for retailers. It has been said by property experts that this is a good move for Bath and will strengthen the city.

The new Primark store has taken over the old BhS site and they are expecting the store to be bursting at the seams with people queuing to get into the store on the morning of the opening.  Primark have received very positive news about moving into Bath.  Primark have spent quite a few months getting prepared for this opening and have had to refurbish the store that used to be BhS and created a lower ground floor which has increased the size of the store to over 45,000 square foot.

This Primark store in Bath will have three floors of fashion including, women’s and children’s fashions, accessories, footwear and home ware. The store is of a big size and will have approximately 33 changing rooms and 31 tills to keep up with the demands of custom that they are expecting through their doors.

When the Primark store in Bristol first opened its doors in 2009, people queued overnight to be the first to see inside the new store and this store created 420 new jobs and is now a flagship store for the company. Primark are hoping that neighbouring Bath will be of a similar level.

Other businesses around the Bristol Primark reported an increase in business after the shop opened by 50% which will clearly please other retailers in the area.

In total, Primark has 161 stores in the UK and trades until 8 and 10pm in many stores making them attractive to people for being able to purchase fashion items throughout the day.
