AnonymousHi all, has anyone applied for the Santander 2013 Operations Grad Programme? I was wondering if anyone had any tips they could share about the interview process?
January 19, 2013 at 2:09 pm #34185I got some telephone interview questions for you:
Motivation questions:
Why financial sector?
Why Santander?
What markets does Santander operate in?
Why corporate banking?
What do you think you’ll be doing on a day to day basis?Competency questions:
Tell me a time you’ve delivered exceptional customer service?
Tell me a time you’ve worked in collaboration with a team?
Tell me a time where you’ve solved a problem that helped you meet your targets?
Tell me a time you’ve made a decision that wasn’t popular?January 28, 2013 at 11:08 am #34186
AnonymousBrilliant questions there. Something to certainly think about – especially that last one about unpopular decisions, something we face in every day life let alone working life

AnonymousIf it’s banking, there’s very often a group interview. One of my sisters had an interview at a bank and told me that it was a group interview. Fairly friendly and relaxed, with some group activities to show your teamworking skills.
If you go further and get a one-to-one interview, then the questions already posted are very good examples of what to expect.
