What would be your best answer if you ever have this question during your job interview? This is where you really need to do your research and Google is your friend.
By answering this question well, you are showing the person interviewing you that you are thorough and interested in their company. There is nothing worse than someone who answers this badly when in this day and age everyone has access to the internet.

Have a look at the company’s website. Depending on how good their website is but find out as much as you can such as:
- Different departments
- How the company works
- Who they work with
- Any facts and figures that you can find
- How long they have been established
- Any plans for the future
- Different locations they might have
- Any current employee feedback
- Do you know of anyone who works there? Could they help with a few insights?
Now you know as much as you can, how does this make you feel towards the position you are being interviewed for? You can now use your knowledge and talk about the role and company comfortably which in turn will make you come across as being a confident individual they want to employ.
I always look for facts and figures when asked this, like “I know you have been up and running as a company for X many years, and you have X many stores in the UK” etc. Also “I did read that you run a number of employee training courses, I was wondering if you could give me more information of how I can put myself forward for this, if im employed?”
As we said above that Google is your friend. You can find lots of information about the company you want to work for at their websites easily. Reviews about the company on internet would say a lot as well so check out platforms like indeed to see what current employees and other job seekers think about them.
