Dear Sirs
I should like to apply for the role of Building Services Supervisor as advertised recently.
I am currently working for a local Contractor assisting the Site Manager in providing a clean, safe and secure environment for all users of our local school’s buildings and grounds including security and covering annual leave to ensure the site is fully operational at all times. I am responsible for the operation of the School’s heating plant and also undertake general porterage duties including movement of furniture and equipment within the school; distribution of deliveries to the school ensuring they are passed to the correct department and dealing with enquiries from various trades people in the absence of the Site Manager.
As a Handyperson I also undertake minor repairs to furniture and fixtures and some general decorating tasks and cleaning of the school including general grounds and litter picking. I have to ensure the site is safe during bad weather in line with our Health and Safety policy.
My work involves some evening and weekend working and I complete a week time log of activity.
I am actively seeking promotion as I have been in this current role for over 3 years, hence my application for this job.
