Work History

January 2010 – Present

Electrician, Sparky and Watts, London

Working for this small firm of electricians it was my duty to call to domestic jobs as instructed. These would often be installation of wired devices such as cookers or smoke alarms, or might be to test appliances. I would occasionally have to do whole rewiring jobs such as whole lighting circuits. I also was designated the task of ensuring that premises were safe after disaster such as flooding and fires.

 

January 2008- January 2010

Electrician, Top Testers, London.

I worked for Top Testers as a PAT tester, testing electrical appliances to ensure that they were safe for use, and efficient. I would have to call to offices to test all kinds of devices from monitors to PC towers, fans, air conditioners, kettles, microwaves etc. It was my job to ensure that any electrical device in use was discarded properly if condemned.

 

January 2007 – January 2008

Electrician, NHS, London

Working for the NHS as an electrician saw me carry out various tasks each day. Often I would have to repair broken equipment and test it for safety. I was also responsible for changing lights and fuses in the main hospital buildings, as well as maintaining flood lighting and security systems externally.
