QD Stores is an independently owned chain of discount retail outlets across the East of England. Everyone loves a bargain, don’t they? So why not apply for a job within this company where you can be one of the faces behind QD Stores, all you need is a passion for retail and a love of providing good customer service.

Application

All applications are done via their website, where you are free to search and apply for as many roles as you like. You also more than welcome to send a copy of your CV and covering letter along with your application to give your potential employer as much information about yourself as possible. You can either post your application to them; their postal address can be found on their website. Or you can personally call in store with it addressed to the store manager.

Interview

The interview stage at QD Stores is quite a general personality interview, where you will be asked a few questions about your experience, your passions, your likes/dislikes and you will also be asked what you can bring to the store, if they decide to hire you. They will also give you a run down about the job role in which you will be working as, then you have an idea of what to expect if you are offered the role. It’s advised to have some background knowledge about the store/company then towards the end you can ask any questions you may have, which haven’t already been answered.

As an employee within the company, you will be entitled to a staff discount, this all depends on the number of hours you work, and the length of your service at the store.

Salary

Salary varies within each role people work, for a general sales assistant you start off at national minimum wage, which is currently £6.08ph, for any management role, your salary is competitive and will be negotiated at the interview stage.
