The retail giant have said that the store is opening on Monday, 5th Dec.
Jonathan Simpson, Corporate Affairs Manager for Tesco, said;
As well as seeking new store opportunities, Tesco continually works to replace and upgrade our existing estate in order to improve the retail offering for our customers. The previous store was over 15 years old and was not able to fully serve our customers needs. Not only will the new store provide an updated choice, but we believe that it will help regeneration and boost the town’s vitality.
